The ARK is a youth development center where children ages 7-18 attend vocational, business and financial literacy classes. Our youth learn skills in website development, graphic arts, photography, music, app development and through our 3 step Pathway to Ownership Plan will take those skills and learn how to create opportunities.
The Mission of The ARK Entrepreneurial Center is to increase opportunities for inner-city youth through entrepreneurial development.

WHAT WE DO
COLLEGE GRADUATES ARE UNDEREMPLOYED
Nearly 43 percent of recent college graduates are underemployed. They are working in jobs that don’t require a college degree.
HS GRADUATES DO NOT ATTEND COLLEGE AND HAVE NO SKILLS
30% of high school graduates with neither academic and job skills.
WHY WE DO IT
At The ARK we believe that students have a diverse range of skills and learning styles and should be exposed to all educational tracks, to help them make a educated decision on what track is best for them.
For students who choose to attend college we want to empower them with tools that will help them not settle for sub par job opportunities, that can be harmful for their careers, as stated in a article from the Chicago Tribune.
Our vision is to close the gap of work opportunities for youth who chose to not attend college, attend but drop out of college or those exiting college, by equipping tomorrow's leaders with the tools to create opportunities or become competitive in the job market.
Studies show that out of the 68% of those attending college only 40% graduate.
